<p>you should also close some services that keeps open ports on any <em>windows machine that runs in any wireless environment</em> , stuff like IPSec service, Time Service , SSDP Service , TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper , Application Layer Gateway Service .<br />
read the help of greenbow vpn client .</p>
<p>and yes <strong>you can access the internet without using the split tunneling &#8220;network concept&#8221; through the VPN tunnel </strong> with &#8220;opentext socks client&#8221; in v5 mode (which requires authentication) to socksify any application you need to run over your internet connection , even the ones that do not support proxy or socks connections . </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>borrrrrring oooh well, i had this idea since the summer of 2010<br />
when some guys where sniffing my wireless connection and troubled my wireless router. sucks. and when the trouble goes on and on you have to solve it . a year passed since then .</p>
<p>advantages of the wireless technology : LESS WIRES<br />
disadvantages : everything else (low bandwidth/ objects standing in the way of a wireless router affects the bandwith/unexpected disconnects for a key renegociation and many more different hacking techniques ). it just sucks . and the most is<a title="click" href="http://www.zdnet.com/blog/ou/how-to-jam-your-neighbors-wi-fi-legally/247" target="_blank"> this </a>&gt;&gt; or google for <a title="click" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=wireless+router++jammer&amp;aq=f&amp;aqi=g-sx1&amp;aql=&amp;oq=" target="_blank">more</a> and <a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;source=hp&amp;q=wireless+router+jam&amp;aq=f&amp;aqi=g1g-v1g-j1&amp;aql=&amp;oq=" target="_blank">more</a>.;)</p>
<p>ok . now . once upon a time after highschool there were some dudes talking about some things and a thing called <a title="click" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network" target="_blank">VPN</a> . this VPN thing was made for securing a connection between two hosts making it very very private  using different  encryption methods , some weaker , some stronger but believe me much much stronger than the ones offered by and wireless router , those so called WEP or WPA2 .</p>
<p>so , why not use it for an wireless environment ? oh yes indeed .  to make it work you will spend some time and you will  get quite <strong>nice</strong> <em><strong>result</strong></em><strong><em>s</em></strong> , but it&#8217;s like knitting a sweater by hand for days  and not many of us have that time .</p>
<p><span id="more-952"></span></p>
<p>some theory the bulshit part , project infrastructure or however you want to call it.</p>
<p>there are 3 VPN technologies . PPTP / L2TP / IPSec . google for each . the best of all is an <strong><a title="click" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPsec" target="_blank">IPSec Tunne</a>l</strong> . OK !!! .</p>
<p>also there are several VPN topologies . one is host to client , cisco names it &#8220;remote access vpn&#8221; , others name it a &#8221; Roadwarrior VPN &#8220;. another one is host to host , or like cisco names it &#8220;site to site vpn&#8221; .  if we add some bullshit  about intranet vpn and extranet vpn then we can write books and publish it , we all know that it &#8217;sells&#8217; good ! .</p>
<p>i would really  like to talk more about the vpn technology but my slang english does not permit me to do this , despite the time i have :p . to understand the vpn technology <strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">you should/must read</span></em></strong> the CCNP v5 part 2 &#8220;IPSec VPNs&#8221; (<strong>very well explained</strong> ) and <a title="click" href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/1904811256?tag=openswan-20&amp;camp=14573&amp;creative=327641&amp;linkCode=as1&amp;creativeASIN=1904811256&amp;adid=0FC8R2662CE68KN6HSF8&amp;" target="_blank">Openswan</a> book .</p>
<p>here is the Wireless VPN setup .</p>
<p>{1}pc client 1 &#8212;&#8211;\</p>
<p>{1}pc client 2 &#8212;&#8212;&gt;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-{2}Wireless Router&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&gt;{3}Openswan VPN Server .</p>
<p>{1}pc client 3 &#8212;&#8211;/</p>
<p><strong>tools needed </strong> &gt;&gt;</p>
<p><em>hardware </em>: computer-desktop-client{1}; any wireless router{2} available on market that can run <a title="click here" href="http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/start" target="_blank">openwrt</a> ;  computer acting as <em>server</em>{3} that runs any linux distribution .</p>
<p><em>software </em>:</p>
<p>on <em>Windows client</em> &#8211; <a title="click" href="http://connectivity.opentext.com/products/socks-client.aspx" target="_blank">OpenText Socks</a> client ( to <a title="click" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOCKS#SOCKS5" target="_blank">socksify</a> an application and use the internet connection :d ); <a title="here" href="http://www.webdrive.com/products/webdrive/" target="_blank">webdrive</a> (an intelligent stylish ftp client used for &#8220;file-sharing&#8221; &gt; you will see later what is this about ;) ) ; <a title="nice one!!!" href="http://www.thegreenbow.com/vpn_down.html" target="_blank">greenbow Vpn Client</a> ( the only vpn client around that works well , have impressive options like GINA mode and <span style="text-decoration: underline;">many more</span> &gt; trust me !)</p>
<p>on <em>Linux server</em> &#8211; fresh new compiled <a title="kernel " href="http://www.kernel.org" target="_blank">kernel</a> ; <a title="click" href="http://openswan.org/" target="_blank">openswan</a> <a title="read this you will see there is no difference" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_(computing)" target="_blank">daemon/service</a> ; ftp daemon ; <a title="click" href="http://ss5.sourceforge.net/" target="_blank">socks server</a> ; and whatever additional services you would like to run &#8230;.</p>
<p>now arm yourself with a lot of patience !!!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>i like : the lovely extralarge animated smooth cursors ; widgets ; transparent windows ( that you can have with gnome or kde , too ;) )</p>
<p>i dislike : hard to find things if you are used to work under windows xp . there are too many questions , too many options to get somewhere , to do something and in my opinion it becomes troublesome . most of text from the menus is changed . we see  &#8221;display properties&#8221; changed to  &#8221;personalize&#8221; , &#8220;windows firewall&#8221; is now &#8220;firewall with advanced security&#8221; (generally speaking a firewall is a firewall and its rules decide if it&#8217;s advanced or not whatever ;) ) , &#8220;switch to classsic view&#8221; option in control panel is now &#8220;view by &gt; category &gt; large | small icons&#8221; , &#8220;my documents&#8221; changes into &#8220;libraries&#8221; &#8230; search for more and you will find . the rating system based on the computer&#8217;s &#8220;experience&#8221; comes from vista and i shall never understand its role until some M$ guy will explain it to me :( .  ( just finished my rating and took a 1 , i read some help about computer&#8217;s base score and i can say this is total bull$@%#$ . it is like taking grades at school when the teacher does not agree with you ) .</p>
<p><span id="more-635"></span></p>
<p>if you are using <a title="password : blabloomboo+" href="http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DAAALOXI" target="_blank">wingate</a> for the host os, you will get connected to internet in less than a second after setting the ip/subnet/gw address  in windows 7 . use a shared folder with &#8221; net use x: vboxsvrsharename &#8221; for file transfer between machines  . my windows 7 enterprise edition runs pretty cool in just 750 MB Ram :d . <em> it is sad that after so many windows releases, microsoft still did not introduce a <strong>good</strong></em><em> free file packing tool in their operating system</em> instead they <em>worked hard</em> for an online-updates service and anti&#8221;everything&#8221;:? applications that <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_OneCare" target="_blank">defend windows</a>, one bought legally from GeCad. the only os that really impressed me everytime with each release  was MacOS which inspired M$ a lot, everyone knows that .</p>
<p>my question is, did M$ come up with something new ? just stolen ideas. <strong>Active Directory is a copy of LDAP , Windows Powershell is a copy of Bash , Windows GUI is a &#8220;<em><span style="font-weight: normal;">copy</span></em></strong><strong>&#8221; of MacOS and Internet Explorer was a replica to Netscape</strong> .</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>once upon a time back in &#8216;99 the first browsers 2 of them , netscape and internet explorer , had some kind of a <em>customized  font support</em> , which worked better in IE (get the font locally and then use it on your tags ) . netscape is a forgotten project but IE didn&#8217;t make anything with <a href="http://www.kirsle.net/wizards/ttf2eot.cgi" target="_blank">it </a>. now, i recently found <em>something</em> that is working almost perfect in most of the browsers<em> less Internet Explorer</em> :d .</p>
<pre id="line1"><strong><a style="font-size: 27px;" title="cufon - fonts for the people" href="http://cufon.shoqolate.com/generate/" target="_blank">cufón</a> </strong><strong>. </strong><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; line-height: 19px; white-space: normal; font-size: 13px;">its use is pretty simple but to implement it in wordpress takes some time especially if you want to use custom fonts for the #storycontent id that wraps around the text blogcontent.  above all, you must find<em> "complete<span style="font-style: normal;"> font</span></em><em>s" </em> for normal, bold and italic style, punctuation and symbols  support. <h7>nevertheless there are a lot of options that cufon has to offer to trick wordpress .</h7></span></pre>
<pre id="line1"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; line-height: 19px; white-space: normal; font-size: 13px;"> it seems that in opera when you switch in fullscreen , this browser displayes the webpage in "fluid mode" . :(   </span></pre>
<pre id="line1"><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', 'Bitstream Charter', Times, serif; line-height: 19px; white-space: normal; font-size: 13px;">anyway beautiful project by <a href="http://twitter.com/sorccu" target="_blank">Simo Kinnunen</a> , i never thought i would ever see something like this . </span></pre>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>at last!!!  i managed to get it to work after learning how to use single and double quotes in php , trying to understand a javascript script and searching for the lines to edit the<em> &lt;!&#8211;more&#8211;&gt; wordpress option</em> .</p>
<p><span id="more-541"></span></p>
<p>i hate the <em> &lt;!&#8211;more&#8211;&gt; wordpress option </em>because it <strong>splits</strong> the post in two when it sees this<em> </em>tag and throws the second half to trash . google will index only the first half and this s*&amp;^*(#$%^ because i need the page with full posts so i can bring visitors that search randomly word pairs  ;) .</p>
<p>when wordpress publish, everything happens here &#8220;site.com/wp-includes/post-template.php&#8221;, and when it sees <em>&lt;!&#8211;more&#8211;&gt; </em>truncates the post then runs this</p>
<p>$output .= apply_filters( &#8216;the_content_more_link&#8217;, &#8216; &lt;a href=&#8221;&#8216; . get_permalink() . &#8220;#more-$id\&#8221; class=\&#8221;more-link\&#8221;&gt;$more_link_text&lt;/a&gt;&#8221;, $more_link_text );</p>
<p>we change it into this :</p>
<div id="_mcePaste" style="text-align: left;">$output .= apply_filters( &#8216;the_content_more_link&#8217;, &#8216; &lt;script type=&#8221;text/javascript&#8221;&gt;$(document).ready(function() { $(\&#8217;#expand-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;\').click(function() { $(\&#8217;#more-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;\').slideToggle(620); var temp= $(\&#8217;#expand-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;\').html() ; if ( temp.search(\&#8217;more\&#8217;) != -1 ) {  $(\&#8217;#expand-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;\').html( \&#8217;&lt;b&gt;&amp;#247; collapse post &amp;#171;&lt;/b&gt;\&#8217; ); } else { $(\&#8217;#expand-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;\').html( \&#8217;&lt;b&gt;&amp;#247; expand post to read more &amp;#187;&lt;/b&gt;\&#8217; );} return false; }); });&lt;/script&gt; &lt;div id=&#8221;more-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;&#8221; style=&#8221; display: none ;&#8221;&gt;&#8217;.$content[1].&#8217;&lt;/div&gt; &lt;p title=&#8221;click&#8221; style=&#8221;cursor: help&#8221;  id=&#8221;expand-&#8217;.$id.&#8217;&#8221;&gt;&lt;b&gt;&amp;#247; expand to read more &amp;#187;&lt;/b&gt;&#8217;, $more_link_text );</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>as you can see half of your content is kept in the second element of the array $content :p . add a <a href="http://jquery.com/" target="_blank">jquery framework</a> to the &#60;head&#62;er of your wordpress blog . my wordpress <a href="http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/transitions/" target="_blank">transition plugin</a> install it as default and treats  the simple &#8220;#&#8221; href link weird ;) . that&#39;s why we need a &lt;p&gt; tag .  but if you don&#39;t have this plugin installed you can use href :d .</div>
<p><strong>many thanks to </strong><a href="http://www.learningjquery.com/2006/09/slicker-show-and-hide" target="_blank"><strong><em>Karl Swedberg</em></strong></a><strong><em> , <span style="font-weight: normal;">his idea is brilliant</span> .</em></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>let&#8217;s say you have to do a site with 20-25 pages and each page has less than 1k text . tough one, what should we do ??? google will not index this page always, sometimes maybe will index it who knows ? here&#8217;s a hint .<br />
use a single Tabbed page &amp; <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>send all the traffic to that page .</strong></em></span></p>
<p><span id="more-271"></span><br />
<em>scripts </em>and idea briefly :</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">var origWidth, origHeight;<br />
if (document.layers) {<br />
origWidth = window.innerWidth; origHeight = window.innerHeight;<br />
window.onresize = function() { if (window.innerWidth != origWidth || window.innerHeight != origHeight) history.go(0); }</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">} var cur_lyr; // holds id of currently visible layer</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">function swapLayers(id) { if (cur_lyr) hideLayer(cur_lyr); showLayer(id); cur_lyr = id; }</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">function showLayer(id) { var lyr = getElemRefs(id); if (lyr &amp;&amp; lyr.css) lyr.css.visibility = &#8220;visible&#8221;; }</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">function hideLayer(id) { var lyr = getElemRefs(id); if (lyr &amp;&amp; lyr.css) lyr.css.visibility = &#8220;hidden&#8221;; }</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">function getElemRefs(id) { var el = (document.getElementById)? document.getElementById(id): (document.all)? document.all[id]: (document.layers)? document.layers[id]: null;<br />
if (el) el.css = (el.style)? el.style: el; return el; }</p>
<p>then <em>play </em>with layers IDs  swapLayers(&#8216;Player_A&#8217;);showLayer(&#8216;P_B&#8217;); return false;  , use div classes, add in your body  onload=&#8221;swapLayers(&#8216;load_default_layer&#8217;);&#8221; and that&#8217;s all . OR you may use this wonderful solution &#8220;http://www.barelyfitz.com/projects/tabber/&#8221; with CSS styling . you may get <strong>impressive results</strong> . ;)</p>
<p>one more <strong>thing</strong> . if you want<em> quick 1st page 1st position google result</em> to your &#8220;page&#8221; for several keywords you should buy a domain containing the keywords you want, to obtain a good position . buy a  domain like keyword1.keyword2.keyword3.keyword4.com and redirect as parked_domain to &#8220;page&#8221; .  you may also add subdirectories /keyword5/keyword7/~keyword10 .  stylish ;) .</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>why ? because in VMWare 7,  X doesn’t start i forgot the error . startx  does not start :p .  so i went to the free solution, Sun’s Virtualbox .<span id="more-148"></span></p>
<p>my setup is an old laptop running Windows Xp x64 , pppoe connection, firewall <strong>UP</strong> on all network interfaces :d . being a beginner i can tell you this is a nice piece of software, get rid of vmware . it’s free and works faster ;) . a full installation of <strong>slackware</strong> was quick, configuration easy and had no problems . now how to get a ping working from the virtualbox using “VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter” (no VirtualBox NAT or Bridged adapter which is a kind of a host-only-eth) . first of all, I always hated the NAT solution offered by any Windows OSes ( 2000,XP,Vista, and probably 7, too) . i’ve used a little routix , wingate and others (google a bit) but wingate it’s wonderful .it is the best of all server solutions because it has a lot of options that are working. installation of wingate is easy so we shall skip to the configuration of slackware so we can ping outside . i think someone else can make this easier, but hey i am not a PRO . sorry :( . this <a title="How I setup networking for VirtualBox on Ubuntu" href="http://nexus.zteo.com/2008/08/22/how-i-setup-networking-for-virtualbox-on-ubuntu/" target="_blank">page helped me out configuring the slackware </a>virtual machine and you should find enough details to understand what i did . here is one of the latest <a title="password : blabloomboo+" href="http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DAAALOXI" target="_blank">wingate</a> .</p>
<p>now. we bridge the “Local Area Connection”(Xp) and “VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter” (VB) set an ip for this bridged network (192.168.5.7) then dial our pppoe connection . switch to slackware virtual-machine (run netconfig to waste some time), get <a title="tunctl" href="http://tunctl.sourceforge.net/" target="_blank">tunctl</a> *1, install it and</p>
<p>mkdir /dev/net ; mknod /dev/net/tun c 10 20</p>
<p>tunctl -t tap0   -u root ; brctl addbr br0</p>
<p>ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 promisc</p>
<p>brctl addif br0 eth0</p>
<p>ifconfig br0 192.168.5.17 netmask 255.255.255.0</p>
<p>brctl addif br0 tap0 ; ifconfig tap0 up</p>
<p>route add default gw 192.168.5.7</p>
<p>____________________________________________________________________</p>
<p><h7>add these lines or some of them to rc.local or another startup file, <a title="opendns" href="http://www.opendns.com/" target="_blank"><u>two nameservers </u></a> in your resolv.conf , ping www.imissyou.org !!!! and we are done . that would be all. </h7></p>
<p>*1 if you don&#8217;t have any idea about how to have some files available on your virtualmachine without network-drivers or shared-folders here&#8217;s one . get <a title="get" href="http://www.filtre.com.ro/ignition-blog/temp_upload/FreeISO_Create.rar" target="_blank">free iso creator</a> , make an iso file with the files you want on your virtualmachine then mount your new iso image machine&gt;settings&gt;storage&gt;Add cd/dvd device&gt;media manager&gt;add iso file .</p>
